Criteria for Assessing Arguments
To test the soundness of an argument, ask yourself the following questions. Any `No’ response will weaken the degree of acceptability of the argument.

Are the premises generally acceptable as being true? |

Are the premises relevant to the conclusion? |
* |
Are the premises sufficient to establish the conclusion? |
* |
Counter Example Test: Is there any obvious situation one can imagine that may rebuttal the argument? |
